Judo meaning ‘the gentle way’ is a safe and effective martial art. An Olympic sport since 1964, judo focuses on the utilisation of your opponent’s movement and strength against them. Judo incorporates throwing, hold-downs, arm locks and choking techniques.
Jujitsu is often learnt for self defence and its roots go a long way back into Japanese history. The martial art of the Samurai warrior, jujitsu incorporates striking, grappling, choking and locking techniques and is often described as the father of all modern Japanese martial arts.
